Brisbane Family Photography Locations

Outdoor sessions really add a lot to your family photos. Finding the right family photography locations which suit your family’s personality is key, and can really elevate your photos to look just spectacular! I spend a lot of my time finding the most gorgeous outdooor locations for your Family Photos to take place. Whilst this isn’t the complete and exhaustive list, these are my top go-to spots to suit the vibe you are looking for. Take a look!

Golden Field Vibes

This Golden field in Springfield is super popular with my clients, and for great reason! It is private, features a rolling hill type feel, and if it is an open-sky sunset, it spills golden light all over your gorgeous photos. It is pet friendly as well! Here, take a look…

Lake Spot

One of my favourite places. This is an Ipswich Lake which has such a gorgeous feel. With mountains in the background, it really creates such a gorgeous, grand landscape for your photos. It is usually quiet and private as well. If you time it well, the full moon may even feature in your photos! Something you will need to be aware of is that there is a 20 minute dirt track walk (which my husband described as a hike but totally isn’t) and some is up an incline. So if you suffer from any conditions which make movement hard then this may not be the best spot for you.

Creek Spot

I’ve had many maternity and family sessions by this little creek which is on the way to Mt Tamborine. It is a great pick for an outdoor Family Photography Location.

It is especially great in the summer when things warm up a little bit as you can wade through the clear water.

Gold Coast Beach

This is a great spot for full family sessions on the northern end of the Gold Coast. It is however pet friendly, so if the kids are afraid of dogs we may need to negotiate a different beach. The light is absolutely stunning as the sun goes down, and its a lot of fun to run on the beach with the little ones.

North Brisbane Beach

This Brisbane Northside location is excellent for family sessions, maternity sessions and outdoor Newborn sessions. The landscape is so interesting and there are lots of cool mangrove, landscape areas for your photos. Perfect fro the whole family (including, fur-babies).

Rocky Gold Coast Beach

This Gold Coat Beach Photography spot, close to Currumbin features large rocky beaches which, depending on the tide, can be climbed. It is a beautiful spot for some vibey shots!

The Reserve West Brisbane

This West Brisbane spot is quite popular with photographers, and people walking their dogs. However there is plenty of secluded space to capture your family shots. We had our own family photos this year and just loved getting to run up and down the hill together when the kids had a bit of extra energy. There are no big hills however to get to this spot so it is perfect if there are any family with mobility issues or you don’t want to walk too far!

Brisbane Bayside

There are some beautiful photography spots at Brisbane Bayside. This particular location both features still, shallow water which is great for splashing in, and sand as well as green mangroves. So you get beautiful variety in your gallery. It is also super fun for the kids to climb in the trees!

Springfield Twin Trees

I love this spot for something easy for locals to access. Featuring two, beautiful, old trees. Depending on the rainfall it may be super green, or the grass may be a more golden hue. Let’s make some memories under the old trees! Not suitable for exposed Maternity photography as cars are visibly driving by, but at a fair distance.
