Getting Cabin fever? Are the kids begging you to get out of the house but you just are out of ideas on how to keep them entertained?
We know that getting out of the house is great for our mental health and also helps families create memories and connect with each other. Here’s a bunch of ideas to help you come up with the perfect Family day out around Brisbane including Ipswich, South Bank, Springfield, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast!
A day at the Museum
You could check out either the Museum at South Bank where there are plenty of great free exhibits (did someone say dinosaurs!) or an option for the ticketed Disney “Magic of Animation” exhibit.
Theme Parks
The age old favourite! Theme parks are so much fun for the whole family. Pick your favourite and just wait for the squeals of excitement when you announce this one!
Road Trip
Who doesn’t love a road trip. There are so many great places surrounding Brisbane, check out Maleny, Montville (quaint mountain town in the sunshine coast hinterland), or one of the many coastal locations.
Family Photo Update
I wouldn’t be a good photographer if I didn’t suggest updated family photos these holidays! I have opened up a few extra dates over the next few weeks and we love to make it fun. Check out packages HERE.
Picnic time
Grab your favourite snacks, a picnic rug and choose a beautiful spot like Robelle Domains, Roma st Parklands, or perhaps one of the botanical gardens.
Have a Snow Day
Do you want to build a snowman? Snow4kids is back at Orion and is a ton of fun for your little ones. Get your tickets HERE
Curiocity
Science and Art comes together to spark curiosity at Brisbane’s South Bank. Find out more here.
Ipswich Workshops Rail Museum
Drive a train on the simulator, check out the miniature railway, explore the history of trains, get hands on with the interactive exhibits, get tickets and find out more here.
I hope this fills you with inspiration to get out of the house and spend some time together. There are great options no matter the weather! What will you try? x
