“What on Earth is Group Motherhood Photography?” I hear you ask..
Perhaps this isn’t something you have come across yet.
We get photos of our family all the time, why not also get photos with our community. Our tribe. The people in our lives who contribute so much and have no obligation to be part of it, instead they CHOOSE to be part of our lives and support network.
We know how important having a community is. And all too often motherhood can be described as isolating, lonely. When we become mothers, we move into a new season of life. Things change, we may lose touch with old friends, or find ourselves in a place where we are searching for new connections with others who share something massive in common with us – motherhood.
My group Motherhood Sessions are available for sports groups, church groups, mums and bubs groups, friendship groups, of mothers and the session is made up of a time with everyone together as a group, and also one on one time with your photographer, capturing your own connection with your babes.
My most recent Group Motherhood shoot was for Gym & Tonic Movement which is a community of women doing bootcamp style fitness. Each month they do social activities together (which I think is just one of the awesome ways they foster a great community), and for the month of September they chose to create motherhood photos together! The group is run by Shea Harrison who is a fantastic motivator and knowledgeable coach to the women.
Take a look at the photos we created for them as a group, followed by the photos each woman chose from their one on one time with their photographer.
